Focus and Intention

When you are focused on a goal, everything you do is intended to reach you to that goal. My full time job is not directly in line with my goal, or my purpose I have decided in life, but while I am there, everything I do is in line with my journey. I am constantly preserving energy for after work. I am constantly imagining what I wish to accomplish. I am even thinking of ideas to write about on this blog. I do not get caught up in the day to day obstacles. My focus is on something greater. Yoga means union. Union with everything. Yoga is realizing that feeling that you are not separate from the world, and that everything corresponds together in the universe perfectly. What we breath out the trees breath in, what the trees breath out we breath in. I feel the feelings of the people around me so we are all each others’ responsibility. We are all just one energy; whether it be a plant, bug, man, or mouse. There is a say that everything is sadhana. That means everything you do is a spiritual practice. Spirituality is overcoming physical limitations. Overcoming fear or doubt. Overcoming outside opinions. The right practices can even overcome the need for food or sleep, but sadhana can reach you toward your goals as well. When everything you do is sadhana, you are intending to overcome. Overcoming the barriers that will try to prevent you from reaching your goal. Mental barriers, physical barriers, or even financial barriers. Intention is much stronger than the action itself. Have you ever met that person who says, “have a good day,” but you can tell by the tone of their voice how “good” of a day they actually want you to have. Their intention out shined their action, and the universe, that is directly a part of you, can hear you intentions as well. If you do not have conscious intentions in your actions, you will only be going in circles. Focusing on your goal will guide you to reach your destinations.
